The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over 2019. It is so thrilling to witness a new rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019, stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. The United States has been the most important source of tourism for Israel inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we had record numbers of Israel's tourism entry every month. Canada, which has 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022, and 6,000 tourists in August, isn't too far from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they're vaccinated.
