NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over the year before. Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. The United States has been our most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak we were celebrating record number of Israeli tourism entries each month. Just like in the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourism numbers in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6000 in August. We expect that this increase will continue to grow as Canadians visit more countries. Israel has hosted more than 4.6million tourists in 2019, 969,600 of which were from the United States.
